These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the websites, apps, and services provided by Kojya, LLC (“Kojya,” “we,” “us”). By downloading, installing, or using any of our apps, or by using kojya.co, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use them.
The apps and this site
Kojya builds software — apps, tools, and web services — such as Maskbox and SentryCam, and publishes information about them at kojya.co. These Terms apply to all of it. Individual apps also have their own privacy policy and support pages, linked from each app’s page.
Your license
When you obtain one of our apps or use our software, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use it for your personal or internal business purposes, in line with these Terms. We reserve all rights not expressly granted. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, rent, resell, or redistribute our software except as permitted by applicable law.
Acceptable use
Use our apps and site only for lawful purposes and as intended. Don’t misuse them, interfere with their operation, attempt to gain unauthorized access, or use them to violate anyone’s rights, any applicable law, or the terms of any third-party service you connect.
Third-party services and accounts
Some of our software works with third-party products or services you choose to connect or use it with — for example, Maskbox works with your Fastmail account, and SentryCam works with dashcam footage recorded by your Tesla vehicle. You need your own accounts and credentials with those services, and your use of them is governed by their terms and privacy policies, not ours. Kojya is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Fastmail, Tesla, or any other company unless we say so explicitly. We aren’t responsible for third-party products or services and can’t guarantee they will remain available or compatible.
Purchases, billing, and refunds
Currently, our paid apps are sold through the Apple App Store, and all purchases, billing, and refunds are handled by Apple under its terms — we don’t process payments or issue refunds directly. If we offer other purchase or distribution methods in the future, we’ll update these Terms. Prices may change, and features may be added or removed over time.
Privacy
We collect as little as possible. How each app handles data is described in its own privacy policy, linked from the app’s page — for example, the Maskbox privacy policy. Please review the relevant policy before using an app.
Intellectual property
The apps, the Kojya name and logo, this site, and their content are owned by Kojya, LLC and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms don’t transfer any ownership to you. Trademarks and product names of third parties (such as Fastmail and Tesla) belong to their respective owners and are used only to describe compatibility.
Disclaimer
Our apps and site are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don’t warrant that the apps will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device or third-party service.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kojya, LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) our apps or site. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app in question.
Changes
We may update our apps, this site, and these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes to these Terms, we’ll update the effective date above. Your continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
Termination
You may stop using our apps and site at any time by deleting the app and discontinuing use. We may suspend or discontinue an app or feature, or these Terms, if you breach them or if we stop offering the app. Provisions that by their nature should survive — including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability — will survive termination.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Arizona, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
